This was such an interesting reflection of how our experience of a city can change when we do. The fact that you still wandered into that marker store really hit.

Yeah. At the time it felt like me saying goodbye to something that had been gone for a while. Been having mini versions of that even here in Manila—I visited a Flying Tiger store for the first time and thought, "past me would've loved to be here, but now, there's no reason for me to even enter."

I'm not familiar with Maki, but that's why I like going to your playlist post, to discover good songs like "Saan." I never been to Hong Kong, the way you describe the place makes me want to go there with my wife. Pero maghanap ako ng may masayang ending na song from your playlists, hehe...

I'm surprised you missed Maki! He's Bini-adjacent—also an ABS-CBN act (but under Tarsier Records) and also popular with the kids, albeit not as ubiquitous. (And he had a music video with Maloi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L215z9C4Zd8)

I'm still out of trend 😅to miss Maki with the hit "Dilaw" with a music video with a BINI member. I discovered more songs from Maki now and Sunkissed Lola from your last Playlist. Keep posting. 😄
